Germans are not known for backing down in an argument
Und noch ein netter Artikel aus dem Guardian. Darin wird belegt wie brav die Deutschen Regeln, Gesetze und Verbote Folge leisten. Während sich in England keiner im Fußgängerampeln kümmert, wartet man in Deutschland auf “the little green man”.
Mittagsruhe gibt es auf der Insel nicht und der Rasen wird sowieso am Sonntag gemäht. Beim Recyclen haben sie auf der Insel eher 3. Welt Land Status und “If the sauna poster tells you to shower before cooling off in the plunge pool, do it – unless you want to get into an argument with a naked German about your personal hygiene.” (Quelle).
Und was dann passiert …. wie war doch gleich nochmal die Überschrift für den heutigen Blogeintrag ?

The Guardian is not the best newspaper. They have some intolerant opinions, which show me that the Guardian is conservative as well as (like in this case) the Germans with their stupid traffic light.

@ Ben: What do you mean by ’stupid traffic light’. What is the different between British traffic lights and German ones?

If you cross an empty road in Germany, you have to pay 100 EUR because of a red traffic light. The English cross a road when it’s empty and traffic lights are only for cars.

Hi Ben,
it’s absolutely dangerous to be a pedestrian or a cyclist in the UK. Even if they have a green traffic light - so I guess, people needed to figure out how to get across the crossroads, junctions and streets at all - and turned colourblind.

But you are right, the traffic rules are different to Germany. Here, car drivers still believe that they own a road because of paying road tax. It changes slowly, but it changes.

@ Andreas, welche Strecke in England soll denn das sein, die so marode ist, dass die Schienen sich biegen und Zuege nur mit 3 m/h fahren koennen oder wegen Gefaehrdung gar stillgelegt werden musste?
