Wikipedia kennt noch die Variante:
If on St Swithun’s day it really pours
You’re better off to stay indoors.
Aber wie sagte einst ein bekannter Barde: “You don’t need a weather man to know which way the wind blows”. Vielleicht hat er ja Recht.
