Ufos - out of order -kaput(t)
Ja was ist den los mit den Außerirdischen. Meiden die den das britische Königreich. Nix mehr los da. Schon seit Wochen keine neuen Kornkreise oder andere Sichtungen. Belgien, Kalifornien, Arizona - überall treiben sich die Extraterrestrischen rum, nur nicht auf der Insel. Oder stimmt was mit ihren UFOs nicht. Sind die etwa kaputt? - “on the fritz” würden die Amerikaner umgangssprachlich sagen. In England heißt es eher “broken-down”, “beat-up”, “out of order”. Oder auch “dickey” für schrottreif. “Kaputt” versteht man in England auch - allerdings wird es dort mit einem “t” geschrieben.

In the engineers we always used to say “It’s gone tits up”…feel free to censor that Thomas.
I think the solution to the UFO question is a lot simpler…After all the terrorist attacks of late, they either don’t feel safe in Blighty, or they couldn’t get past Customs at Dover!
